Does this mean you cut it down? Pretty big tree. Did you count the rings? I usually do that to figure out how old it is and what was happening when it first sprouted. > LikeLiked by 1 person September 14, 2020 at 2:17 pm Reply
No, we have not counted the rings yet. That’s a good idea. We didn’t exactly cut it “down.” When it fell and blocked our garage, we were forced to cut it “up,” and then drag the stump back into place. And I’m using “we” loosely, to mean Mr. Neanderthal and the landlord. I didn’t actually have to lift a finger. When I said she had conquered the tree, I meant in the same sense that one “conquers” a mountain. Climbed up on top of it. 🙂 LikeLike September 15, 2020 at 8:54 pm Reply
I’m sorry but ‘climbing on top’ does not even qualify for an honorable mention in the Neanderthal guide book for conquering anything. LikeLiked by 1 person September 15, 2020 at 9:03 pm Reply
Ha! Touche! But look at the size differential, though! Also the mini cave bears hiding among the roots. LikeLiked by 1 person September 15, 2020 at 9:17 pm Reply
