This is Neanderthal Woman, a.k.a. me.

This is the tree
that came down this June
in the yard of N.W., a.k.a. me.

This is the tree
that came down this week
in the yard of N.W., a.k.a. me.

This is the weather
in our favorite State:
90, then freezing, then 90 again.

This is the sunflower
that grew in my yard,
now killed by the weather
in our favorite State.
This is a small
price that we pay
to live near the mountains
in our favorite State.
I kept expecting the poem to be additive, like “This is the house that Jack built.”
This is the weather,
that brought down the spruce,
that fell by the tree,
that came down this June,
in the yard of Neanderthal Woman,
aka me.

Yes, This the House that Jack Built was the inspiration.
But I didn’t want to bore you … or myself.
I mean, I’m a little busy over here!

You’ve had your share of rough weather. I would not say you’re a neanderthal woman. Cute kids. Yours?

Oh, when I call myself N.W., that’s not a slam. Remember, I am a big Neanderthal advocate. 🙂
Yes, they are very photogenic, aren’t they? I’ll leave the picture up for about a week and then take it down, per Bookstooge’s advice.

Neanderthal Woman is darling! I hope she gets to go on *many* adventures exploring the state!

Hey, thanks! She was crafted by AHester.
That’s a good idea … I should take pictures of her in different locations!
