Ordinarily, I’m leery of genetically engineering animals, let alone releasing them into the wild. But in the case of dengue- and Zika- bearing mosquitoes, I’ll make an exception.

Yeah, given that they’ve been working on this for ten years, and given how fast mosquito generations go, I expect that if there were unforeseen effects they’d have found them by now. And this would be an alternative to spraying!
